Trigeminal Neuralgia

Trigeminal Neuralgia is a searing pain involving three of the facial nerves, usually on just one side of the face.  Sometimes people suffer continual searing pain that prevents them from normal sleep.  Other people find that the pain comes and goes.  Sufferers often end up visiting the pain clinic in hospitals after months of agony, where they can be given one of the very strong pain drugs.  These can have unpleasant side effects, and often make little or no difference to the pain.

One client used the programme to gradually decrease the searing pain of Trigeminal Neuralgia, and found it also lifted depression.  Quite often, people believe they feel so depressed because they are in pain, but I suspect that psychological symptoms like depression are individual symptoms of Neurological Wave Syndrome.

After the pain has gone, the attacks of depression can remain. This demonstrates that these two symptoms can be quite independent.
