Migraine  Associations

There are many associations that provide information, support and research.  I recommend that every migraineur should join an association as their subscriptions help fund research.

  The Migraine Action Association

 aims to relieve the burden of headache by:

1. encouraging and supporting research into migraine
2. gathering and passing on information about migraine treatments
3. providing information and friendly, positive reassurance, understanding and encouragement to migraine sufferers and their families.

I recommend that everyone joins this association, or the Migraine Association of Ireland, and takes an active part.  The quarterly newsletters are full of useful information, and the web site offers a forum for those who wish to join in discussions about various topics.   The cost of joining is £15, but if you do not wish to visit the website forum, you can join for just £10. 

People can join by writing to the association, or by visiting the web site and joining on line.  I found it difficult to find my way through the web site at first, so I am pleased that it is also possible to join by post.
