If you would like to study in France for a Diploma in hypnotherapy and a certificate in NLP, this is a course for you!. You will have time to enjoy France at the same time as training to become a hypnotherapist.

Where? The 4-week course (split into 2 x 2-weeks courses) is held in a typical, beautiful French Manor house in the countryside near to Confolens, Charente, in the South-West of France. The ‘weekends’ course is held in a country hotel in the Charente region, near Champagne Mouton or Confolens.

How will you get there? If you travelling from abroad, there are flights from Stansted or Southampton into Limoges and Poitiers, 1-2 hours drive away from Confolens. Midlands flights are also available to La Rochelle, two hours drive away.

Structure of the course: The four-week course is divided into two parts, A and B. The complete ‘weekends’ course consists of 9 weekends, Saturday and Sunday, 9.30am-5pm.

The complete course consists of 200 hours of classroom training plus 250 hours of home study.

There are no pre-requisite qualifications, although there are some restrictions.

If you would like to join us for just part of a course, then you are welcome too.

The course is a residential course. Non-residential delegates are also welcome – see  ’tuition-only’ prices.

Parts A and B: The Diploma Course is divided into two, 2-week sections. Many people will prefer to split the study, the first half being completed in October, and the second half being completed the following April.

However, you may opt to complete all of the four weeks consecutively, if there are sufficient delegates who request this.  The second two weeks may be at a different venue.

The weekends-course (9 weekends) runs from September 2016 to May 2017.

Contact Olivia in the first instance for further details, and to clarify the structure of the course. Olivia will speak to every enquiry before accepting an application.

More details:

The Diploma in Hypnotherapy and NLP is in two parts, A and B. The total classroom time for the course (Part A plus Part B) is 204 hours. Whether you complete this in the four-week courses, or the 9 x weekends course, you will also be required to complete 250 hours of home study and practise in order to be awarded the Diploma.

Daily time schedule, weekly courses: Monday to Thursday, 9am – 5pm, and Friday 9am – 12pm. Your evenings and weekends will be free for you to enjoy France. The weekend courses will be full days, Saturday & Sunday, 9.30am – 5pm.

The structure of the course is informal classroom-style.  The lessons consist of a rotation of listening, discussing, and practising techniques.  Be prepared to pair up with different delegates to practise. It can be rivetingly intriguing to experience how it feels  - to change the way you feel!

Only by practising hypnotherapy and NLP techniques will you truly learn how to be an effective therapist. There is time on this Diploma course to really develop your skills and confidence in using these techniques. You can learn to be a hypnotherapist – its not really magic!

Book list: You will be required to purchase a number of books, to accompany the course. Each book will have an accompanying questionnaire, and as part of your home study, you will be required to answer a set of questions based on these books, in essay-style, and bring these with you to Part B of the course.

Case Studies: In between part A and B, you are also required to practise the techniques you have learned in Part A. You will need to find volunteers among your friends and family. You may not practise on the general public, or charge money, just yet!

You will be required to complete and submit two case histories after the course, demonstrating your knowledge and ability. Each case history will be required to adhere to a pre-designed format, including initial notes, desired outcome, progress recorded by the client (the chart to be included in the submission), progress notes, and a description of the techniques used throughout.

When we reconvene, your first day will be a refresher day, and then we will move onto yet more exciting techniques.

You will build your knowledge until you are a competent therapist, and we will cover all of the aspects of running a successful business; the paperwork, the guidelines and the legislation you need to know while working as a professional in this field.

On completing:-

Part A and Part B, in the weekly courses, or the 9 weekends

Passing the written examination (daily tests)

Completing the home study

Two case histories,

You will awarded a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, and a Certificate in NLP.

Beginning your future

Once you have your Diploma in Hypnotherapy and NLP, you will be able to build your practise. As time goes by, to maintain your skills, and discover new ones, there are many 1-day courses and peer group meetings in the UK that you will be able to attend to give you continuing professional development (c.p.d.). A list of these can be found on the websites of professional associations.

The General Hypnotherapy Register and the Hypnotherapy Association are both highly recommended professional associations. You are strongly advised to join an association as this will ensure you ensure that you keep up with any relevant news and changes in legislation. You will also need indemnity insurance, and your association can recommend suitable insurance companies, often offering a discount to association members.

Further on-going support is available from Olivia after the course, by telephone.

Travel by car on the ferry, or travel by train – the Eurostar.

We will put delegates in touch with each other (with your permission) to coordinate travel arrangements so that you can travel in a group. If you are intending to drive, let us  know if you would be willing to car-share. Let us know you plans and we will share tips and advice.

This course is only run if there are a minimum number of delegates. You will benefit greatly by being able to practise on each other, and the more people on the course, the richer the experience. Volunteers from the public will also be invited to join us on occasion as willing subjects for your practise.
