For physical reactions - bladder incontinence, mis-behaving bladder, flatulence, and things that go bump in the night...
Resolution is a new technique that reduces many symptoms and conditions. At first, it was used for migraine, and then it was discovered that the same technique worked for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and many more conditions. People who had mastered the technique began to use it for many of their other problems, like tension, S.A.D (seasonally affected disorder), dips and sudden changes in mood e.g. outbursts of bad temper. It was soon found that people who only suffered from these symptoms, like flatulence, also responded well to the Resolution techniques.
Very soon, I realised that Resolution was a way to deal with many different bodily reactions. I had used it on my own migraine, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Reynard's Disease. Others had used it to stop blushing and hot flushes. Some have used it on psychological reactions like dips in mood and outbursts of anger.
It seems that almost whatever the body or the mind is doing, we can re-educate it not to do it, using the simple Resolution mental exercises.
So, lets talk about things that are embarrassing. If you have any problems with your intestines, you could switch to the IBS section, as this deals with all thing of the gastric-intestinal nature, from indigestion to bloating, diarrhoea, and constipation, and faecal incontinence.
If you have problems with a mis-behaving bladder, then you are in the right place. Resolution can show you how to re-educate your bladder back to its original perfect-working-order.
Firstly, the CD1 will remind your system how it should operate. It will remind that part of your automatic system how it should be behaving, and how it should do things in the right order.
The perfect-working system has a warning system that tells you when its time to go to the loo. Sometimes the alarm keeps going off and you end up dashing to the loo far too often. Resolution teaches your system how to do this properly once again.
Secondly, the urination should wait until YOUR conscious command to 'let go' before it does so. Resolution re-educates your system to get this in the right order, and wait for your command.
There may be many reasons why your system has begun to make mistakes. Often, a catheter used during or after an operation can confuse the bladder, and it begins to send out all sorts of wrong signals, including pain, afterwards.
Sometimes a fright can begin the bladder confusion, especially if this happens at the same time as it was sending out an ordinary signal. If you were just receiving a message from your bladder when you saw a fight break out right in front of you, or heard a loud crash of thunder out of the blue, this could be the start of bladder confusion. If you felt vulnerable and lost when you came round from an operation, and your bladder was sending out all sorts of signals, this could also be the beginnings of bladder confusion. If you have just been through a terrible time in your life, the trauma of this can also affect your bladder signals.
Resolution can help you with many other issues, at the same time as dealing with your bladder issues. Resolution will help you to change all sorts of unwanted feelings, and unwanted physical symptoms.
Whatever the cause of your bladder mis-function, don't worry. Resolution will show you how to gently re-educate your bladder into behaving correctly again, and educate you how NOT to 'spoil' your bladder. Yes, by running off to the loo as soon as your bladder pipes up, you are spoiling your bladder. The bladder is designed to hold quite a lot of liquid. When it is half-full it will send you a signal. If you dash off to the loo every time you get the 'half-full' signal, the bladder forgets that there are other signals, the 3/4 full signal, and the nearly full - please hurry- signals!
Resolution shows you how to re-educate your whole system to utilise all of these signals so that your bladder can do a proper job!
The Resolution Programme has three Components - Relaxation Sessions, Active Sessions and Telephone Coaching
The Resolution Programme consists of two sets of mental exercises; the "Relaxation Session" and the "Active Sessions ". These will be sent to you, or you can download the MP3 files immediately, and the written notes will be e-mailed to you.
The tutorial will take you less than one hour in total. The first 20-minute CD contains the "Relaxation exercises" - but you will not be 'relaxing' these unwanted feelings away. Once you have listened to the first CD, and followed the guided exercises on it, you will begin the second part of the process. Guided by the telephone coaching, you will be taught very simple techniques that will re-educate your system.
You will need to re-read the material, or listen to the audio occasionally as a reminder.
Mental Exercises
The subconscious works for us in many ways, running our automatic systems of the body for us, storing our experiences as memories, and also storing our daily skills for us, like driving or typing on a keyboard, so that we can do them 'without thinking'. The subconscious, far from being locked away inside our brains, is working and active all of the time. It can learn new skills, store new memories, and change the automatic systems of our physical bodies. So often, these three areas overlap and influence each other. Resolution teaches you to use a set of simple exercises to re-educate your own subconscious so that it changes the reactions of the automatic nervous system.
Relaxation Session
During the Relaxation session, various guided mental exercises are done while you simply relax. It is a very pleasant experience. The relaxation session only requires to be done once, but it can be repeated without detriment, and possibly with a little extra benefit. The Relaxation Session is available on a CD, or MP3 so that you can listen to it in your own armchair at home, and let your own subconscious do the work!
Active Sessions
Active Sessions are the second part of Resolution, and consist of an easily learnt set of simple mental exercises that have to be repeated to remind the system to change until it behaves correctly. When there are no symptoms, you do nothing at all.
Telephone Coaching
Without the telephone coaching, you are unlikely to get through this programme. For this reason, I recommend everyone to opt for the 'full package'. You will receive regular telephone coaching sessions, beginning weekly in the beginning.
Monitoring the success of the programme
Everyone is encouraged to keep a record of the intensity, duration and frequency of their symptoms. A chart is provided in the pack. Surprisingly, you will be able to watch how your symptoms - yes, even these bladder problems are 'symptoms', will gradually diminish over a period of time.
